NYSLRA Celebrated Women’s Month at United Palace with a Powerful Uptown Gathering Honoring Women in Leadership
The New York State Latino Restaurant, Bar & Lounge Association (NYSLRA) proudly celebrated Women’s Month with a special Uptown Women’s Event held at the iconic United Palace in collaboration with Assemblymember Manny De Los Santos and MamiChula’s Social Club.
The event brought together community leaders, entrepreneurs, restaurant owners, advocates, and supporters for an inspiring evening dedicated to recognizing the impact of women who continue to lead, build, and uplift their communities across New York City. Set in the heart of Uptown, the gathering served as both a celebration and a reminder of the powerful role women play in business, culture, advocacy, and community development.
As part of the program, 13 women in leadership were honored for their contributions across industries including hospitality, entrepreneurship, small business advocacy, and community empowerment. Their work reflects the resilience, vision, and influence of women who are helping shape the future of New York’s neighborhoods and the Latino business community.
The evening highlighted the importance of creating spaces where women can be seen, celebrated, and connected. Through meaningful partnerships and community-centered programming, NYSLRA continues to champion initiatives that elevate women in leadership while strengthening the hospitality and small business ecosystem.
The Uptown Women’s Event also demonstrated the power of collaboration. With the support of community partners, elected leadership, and advocates who believe in investing in women, the program created a memorable and impactful moment during Women’s Month. From recognition to relationship-building, the evening reinforced a shared commitment to empowerment, visibility, and opportunity.
NYSLRA is proud to stand alongside the women who are moving culture, business, and community forward. Events like this one are a reflection of our mission to uplift diverse leaders, strengthen networks, and create platforms that celebrate excellence in all forms.
We thank everyone who helped make the Uptown Women’s Event a success, including our partners, honorees, supporters, and the community members who showed up to celebrate these incredible women.
